We are looking to add to our engineering team. This position reports to the engineering manager. This role will primarily support the engineering team with setting up new parts, preparing work order folders containing shop instructions, revising parts when requested by our customers and working on special projects as required. We plan to add someone with metal manufacturing knowledge to our team. We are always looking to improve what we are doing and being knowledgeable in continuous improvement is a strong asset.
As Reidco supplies to the defense industry, candidates must be able to be controlled goods certified and pass a security check.
Job Responsibilities:
Engineering:
Creating Solidworks sheet metal CAD models for programming
Creating Solidworks shop drawings from CAD files
Programming files for laser cutting and turret punch presses
Updating drawings/models
Rev changes for various customers
Create bills of materials and job routing in ERP system
Create shop packages for production
Assist with part inspections as needed (manual and CMM experience are an asset)
Other duties as required.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Requirements:
Familiarity with Solidworks sheet metal or similar CAD software
Accurate and methodical
Able to work well individually and amongst a team
Effectively communicate with lead hands, supervisors and management
Knowledge of MS Office suite (Access, Excel, Outlook and Teams)
Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, or a similar field
Assets:
Familiarity with ERP software
GD&T fundamentals
ISO 9001 knowledge

Reidco is looking to hire an inspector to support the quality team, this position reports to the quality manager. This role will support the quality department and perform final inspections on finished goods.
As Reidco supplies to the defense industry, candidates must be able to be controlled goods certified and pass a security check.
Eligible candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Job Responsibilities:
Physical inspection of metal parts
Documenting and filing inspection results
Record defects in an excel document
Utilize the CMM (Training will be provided)
Support equipment calibration (Training will be provided)
Other duties as required.
